Confidently Create Ad Copy for Any PPC Campaign and Get Results

By Pinky Arnisola

PPC advertising happens to be one of the most effective ways to drive targeted traffic to your website or blog. The history behind PPC (pay per click) is long and interesting, but it is something in which you have to play by the rules. The quality and effectiveness of your ads will determine the rest of your story with your PPC campaign. Even though all of your ads have to be effective at making people click on them, you can test and optimize them as your campaign progresses. Obviously there is risk involved, but there is risk no matter what you do in business. Since so much depends on your ads, then let's take a look at ad writing strategies.

One of the main aims that you should be having with your PPC campaign is bringing down your Cost per Click and increasing your Click Thru Rate.

Most of the time you do not want to mention anything about something being free in your ads unless it truly is free. The thing about this word is people see free and automatically click on it, but that does not mean all that traffic is quality traffic. However, you need to be careful before deciding to use the word 'Free' because the last thing you'd want is making your ad misleading. Imagine if you clicked on something that was advertised as free and it really was not; you would not be happy about it, either. Be honest and genuine in your approach and you will get a better conversion for your ads.

PPC advertising is no different than other methods in that you can get important cues from your competitors. This should give you a fair idea as to what you should be doing to be different from them. While there is a lot of copying that goes on with PPC, it is something you have to contend with or embrace. If you want to be a strong contender, then you have to learn how to be competent, and we do not feel that a competent thief is good business - but obviously others do.

Nothing at all difficult about learning what needs to be done for writing solid PPC ads, but you do need to learn it and then practice it. If you do not have a strong background with writing copy or writing in general, do not let that stop you from doing this. So go ahead and start applying what you've learned here and take dedicated action to enhance your ad copywriting skills because in the long run, how you far with your PPC ad campaign depends on how the effectiveness of your copy is.
