How to Get into the Hearts and Minds of Your Landing Page Visitors

If you have never studied copywriting before, then it is time to do so at your earliest convenience. You may not have any ambitions to do copywriting, but you can still profit from many of the tactics used in this art. For landing page considerations, you should study headlines, bullet points, any copy elements found in sales letters, and writing in the proper format. Once you have such skills, you can use them in any number of ways, landing pages included of course. While it takes some effort to learn to be a good copywriter, you can make faster progress if you find a good program, book or course written created by an expert.

You'll find a big variety of ways to approach the design of your landing page. The designs range from busy, beautiful all the way to the most minimalistic approach to designs. A growing trend is keeping the design spartan or minimalistic when gearing the page toward Internet Marketers. Perhaps this approach is so popular because the audience is already hip to the game and only wants to get the information they need. Interestingly, landing pages designed for non IM-specific niches trend toward the exact opposite. One thing is definitely true: you need to make sure that the page that you create isn't so busy that it takes away from your message.

One thing that you really need to avoid is putting weird demands on the people reading your landing page. Most IMers know that it's good to practice caution when asking things of future subscribers. It's possible, though, to find forms that seem like loan forms or shortened loan forms.

Since you know that stay or leave decisions can occur in a split second for new visitors, you want to get a feel for your site before making it live. Practice going to the website as many times as you need to and see what kind of initial reaction you have to it. Make sure you do this at least a dozen times and make sure you are as emotionally distant from the page as possible. It is going to be really helpful to ask the people you know to help you for this sort of test. Ask them what kind initial impression they have gotten, no matter what it may be, and for their feedback.

You already know how incredibly important it is for the people who read your landing page to feel like they can trust you. We've explored some devices and different elements to help that happen. Of course, where you apply them is also going to affect your conversions. It is important that you do everything you can to make sure that all of the things that will help people trust you are easy to see. This means they need to be at "eye level." So, rather than using those testimonials at the bottom of your page, where they will feel like an after thought, put them higher up. You certainly want them to be above the fold in all cases, yet they should not appear to be an annoyance. Even though it may seem like there is a ton to learn about excellent landing page design, there really is not. But it's plausible that if you're new you might feel differently. The really important thing is to simply immerse yourself in the educational process. It's important to know why things get done the way they do and that is the only way that you are going to know what you need to do for your audience.
