One of the most popular sports speakers to work on the UK circuit is Sean Fitzpatrick. Considered the epitome of a sports hero, he was looked up to by every young man. He was an amazing player and a leader on and off the field in the lifetime of his rugby career. He was fondly called "Fitzy". In 1998 he announced his retirement, ending his 12 year career. He was appointed captain of the All Blacks in 1992 and played in 121 international matches, including 92 Test matches.

Under his leadership, the All Black team had a great run. They won the Tri-Series competition against South Africa and Australia, which was the first ever championship. In 1997 Sean led his team in 12 test matches without losing any. He was the part of the Buckland team. He announced his retirement from the sport in 1998 due to serious knee injuries.

Sean was more than just an athlete. He also wrote "Turning Point, the Making of a Captain". It' considered as one of the bestselling books and has been steadily acquiring a readership since it was first published in 1998. Sean loved rugby too much, which was why he could never really leave it despite his injury. This is why he became NZRFU's Rugby Consultant in 1999, responsible for player development and liaison. Sean was not only an athlete and a writer, he was also a philantrophist. He is the champion of many causes as well. For instance, he was one of the founders of the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation, which seeks to use sport as a medium to bring about social change. He is also ambassador for New Zealand's Variety Club. He is also affiliated with Ronald McDonald House and Starship Children's Hospital.

The most caps for a forward, currently 51, is a world record in Sean's name. The count is up to 51. Sean was inducted into the International Rugby Hall of Fame in 2001 and the New Zealand Sports Hall of Fame in 2002. He is an invited member of the World Sports Academy. Despite being recognized for his abilities and social work, Sean is a renowned key note speaker as well. Sean was very well known for his amazing sports career and all his achievements. Today, his oratory skills are just one more thing to add to his very long list of credentials.

There are other sports speakers in the UK circle as well. These are Sir Henry Cooper, who is a boxing champion; Alec Stewart, cricketer; Nigel Owens, international rugby referee; and Paul Walsh, football player.
